What Our Customers Say…

"Over the last 20 years the love, care and compassion shown to our two dogs Sheba and Sophie, particularly as their health started to deteriorate, demonstrate the commitment and dedication of the staff at Lodge Farm Boarding Kennels and we have been very happy to recommend the Kennels to several of our friends."

"Luke 9 years and Chester 8 years, our Norfolk Terrier dogs, have been staying at Lodge Farm Kennels since they were puppies on short stays and longer holidays at least 6 to 8 times a year. They look forward to going and are very happy during their stay. They love going for walks with other dogs and are exceptionally well cared for by all members of the staff. We have recommended many of our dog owning friends to Lodge Farm. Chester is on regular medication for an incurable but treatable illness. His condition requires regular monitoring in case he needs urgent veterinary care, and I trust the staff implicitly in caring for this special animal. We cannot speak highly enough of the owners of Lodge Farm and all the staff that care for our dogs."

"There were plenty of motorhomes to choose from and lots of information about the different types, on various websites but I chose to hire from Helen because of her friendly and very helpful attitude, which made it an extremely good experience in helping a novice like myself. I thoroughly recommend renting a motorhome because you are free as the wind and you have to resist the temptation to just keep on going. My four children had a fantastic time driving through beautiful French countryside. The handover for the van, by Helen and James, was great and very thorough especially useful as it was my first time driving a motorhome. We were also given an instruction manual, another plus point, so we were always able to refer to as we didn't always remember what we have been told. Great communication from Helen throughout, from start to finish, felt confident with instructions emailed to me and prompt and professional service. Van was clean and tidy and we made sure we kept it that way. All in all, kids and myself agree that this was our best holiday ever and would happily recommend to others thinking about hiring from Helen. Warmest regardes Senka"

"We wanted a different holiday and decided that we wanted to hire a motorhome for the week. After trailing through the internet we came across Lodge Farm Centre. It was ideal for us, because it was local. I contacted Helen from Lodge Farm about details etc. She was very accommodating and answered all our questions. We asked to come and have a look at the motorhome and that was no problem at all. The price was reasonable and the deposit was also good. The motorhome was surprisingly spacious and had all the mod cons. it was lovely to drive and you sometimes would forget that you was driving a big motorhome. we travelled down to Devon. it took about 4 hrs, and it was a comfortable drive. what I enjoyed about the travelling is that you could stop at the motorway services and instead of paying £5 for a coffee you could get in the back and make one yourself for no cost at all brilliant. when we arrived on site it was late but we set up in no time at all. just plug the electric hook up in and away you go. Only downside to a motorhome is that your pretty much stuck on site most of the time as if you want to travel anywhere you have to put the aerial and vents down and unplug the hook up, but the motorhome had a bike rack on the back if your into biking then you are not so restricted. All in all we enjoyed our holiday and have booked again for next year. oh by the way if you have dogs, lodge farm can kennel them for you as well what more could you ask for !!! Sean Croke"

"We wanted a different kind of holiday and decided on a motorhome. We trawled on the internet for hours and hours and we came across Lodge kennels. We called them up and spoke to Helen. I managed to get a great price and we went to the kennels to have a look at the motorhome. The motorhome was awesome. it had all the mod-cons and was very spacious. We travelled to Devon (4Hrs) and it effortless, you forget its rather long and big and it drives like a van. Its got a reversing camera to help with parking up. What I enjoyed about the journey is that instead of going into the motorway services and paying £10 for two coffees you can park up get into the back and make one for free !!! Bonus. Setting up was easy. Just drive up and plug the electric hook up in That's it !!! Only downside to a motorhome holiday is that your pretty much stuck onsite as if you want to travel anywhere you've got to put the TV Ariel and roof vents down and it can be a pain. But lodge kennels has thought about this and have installed a bike rack at the rear of the motorhome so your not completely isolated. So all in all we enjoyed our holiday and have booked the motorhome for next year.."

Thank you all for looking after the motorhome, enabling it to be at a good standard for all of our clients. We take great pleasure from people having a good holiday. We hope to see you all again in 2014. Helen x"

"We are very pleased with Lodge Farm. Our Cairn Terriers Elie and Celtie both used to hate going to the kennels but now we have found Lodge farm, all our prayers have been answered. Each visit now, they just walk off with a member of staff without even a backward glance. We have now used the kennels 5 times in 2013 for weekends and 2 week stays and each time our babies have come out clean and very happy. We now go away on trips without that added worry of wondering if our dogs are OK, we know they will be! Thanks Lodge Farm!!!!!"

"I was slightly nervous about hiring a motorhome, having never been in one before. Helen made the booking experience very easy and explained everything clearly. The holiday turned out to be a great experience, touring the highlands of Scotland to the tune of 1500 miles. Once you get the hang of the "van" it's all fairly easy to use and with 4 adults on board we managed remarkably well for 8 days. The van performed pretty well - only a couple of very minor issues which we managed to deal with. All part of the experience! Helen and staff did all they can to help us and overall it was a great experience. Highly recommended and exceptionally good value. Thanks."

"Myself and 4 others hired the Ford motor home to travel to Scotland to use it as a base when we were walking the west highland way. The whole experience of motor home hire was made easy by Helen and her staff at Lodge Farm who ensured the motor home was spotless clean when we collected it. We were given a splendid tour of the motor home at the time of collection and everything was explained to us in a friendly and welcoming manner. Thank you to all at Lodge Farm you helped make our week in Scotland."

"Our 3yr old english bull cross TJ stayed here for a week when my partner and i went abroad. I emailed them while we were away to check on him as i always worry but they assured me he was doing well. When we picked him up he was his usual happy, bouncy self. Very helpful staff with all my questions. He was very well looked after, we will definitely use Lodge Farm again. Thank you x"

"Very disappointing experience and certainly would not be using this kennel again. My dog had all his injections up to date but was waiting for his second one, the vet said he was fine to stay in kennels as the first injection covers him but apparently lodge farm have expertise far above that of a vet. We missed the wedding we were going to and they completely ruined what should have been a lovely day knowing our dogs were safely in kennels, we couldn't get another kennels so short notice but all the other kennels we spoke to had no idea why they wouldn't accept our dog. This just shows me why every other kennels were busy and lodge farm wasn't. Would never recommend"

Emily

"Thank you for your comments. We are licenced by East Northamptonshire Council and our licence clearly states that all dogs must be fully vaccinated. Your dog was not fully vaccinated as he had only had his first set. If he was fully vaccinated, he wouldn't need to return to the vets. Your vet should know this and not give you the incorrect information. I am not going to take a dog when he is not fully covered, not only putting other boarders at risk, but also our licence. We have been running for over 26 years and turned over 200 customers away this summer 6 weeks alone because we were full. Other kennels may run under kettering or Corby Council, who are not as strict on policies. You cannot say you were disappointed or wouldn't use us as you did not use us."
