cat2Lodge Farm  offers high quality cat boarding chalets. Your cat is one of your closest companions, and we understand that your pet’s well-being is of paramount importance when you travel away from home.

The purpose-built Lodge Farm cattery is now  licensed for up to 27 cats at any one time. The building overlooks the fields and our garden and we have 16 chalets.

We Aim to make your cat’s stay as pleasant and as much fun as possible, with home from home comforts.  Whether you’re going away on holiday or for business your experience here at Lodge Farm will be as stress free as possible for both you and your cat.

We have a spacious beautiful cattery in a tranquil country setting.

We pride ourselves on the custom made facilities and the little touches that make your cat’s stay that little bit more pleasant.

Our chalets are purpose built to the highest standards, fully  insulated following the Feline Advisory Bureau’s guidelines.The chalets have access to outdoor runs that are secure and fully protected from the weather but allow the cat to observe what is going on and take in our beautiful surroundings.

8The chalets are big enough to accommodate up to three cats from the same household.

Our team of fully trained and experienced staff are on hand 24 hours a day to give your loved one a first class and enjoyable stay and are able to administer any type of medication.

We are fully insured by Amlin and fully licensed by the local authority.

All we ask from you, is that your cat is fully vaccinated against Feline Flu and Enteritis, an up to date vaccination certificate will have to be provided when your cat is brought in at the start of their stay, this is to ensure that all of our borders are fully vaccinated

What makes our cattery special?

Each chalet is comprised of an inside house and an outside run, and can house up to 3 cats from the same family. During their stay, cats enjoy home-from-home comforts, including individual heater lamps or heat pads. Hammock beds or plastic beds with bedding are provided and refreshed as and when needed.  Background music is played to create a soothing and calming environment for all our visitors Owners are welcome to bring along a favourite toy and blanket to make their cat feel at home.  The outdoor area allows cats to climb and exercise or simply chill out on a garden chair.


Included in the price is your cat’s usual home diet. We have a small variety of  dry and wet food to choose from.  If we do not stock what your cat eats or similar, you are welcome to provide your own food.  We can meet more specific needs on request.


Of course, these are free!!

We care passionately about our guests and we will treat your cat as our own, giving them all the attention they need to ensure that they settle in quickly and enjoy their time with us.

Vaccination and general health requirements

4We want all the animals in our care to remain healthy and unfortunately we cannot admit any guest to Lodge Farm that is not up-to-date with its vaccinations, so you are assured of a healthy, disease free environment.

We expect all our clients cats to take regular worming and flea medication.

We also request that you advise us of any pre-existing medical conditions before your cat enters the Lodge Farm cattery.

No pet will be admitted without proof of up-to-date vaccinations.


If medication needs to be administered, this will be undertaken provided the cat accepts the medication, without resistance, and that it can be administered by one of our non-veterinary qualified cattery team.  There will be a £1 surcharge per insulin injection that is administered.


Velbert Carnival 001In the unfortunate event that a guest becomes ill whilst staying with us we have access to veterinary services 24 hours a day. We prefer to use your own vet for minor ailments, as they are familiar with your pet, however, we will go wherever we can access care the quickest and safest, in an emergency situation.
We do have pet insurance for our guests in the unlikely event an incident occurs whilst in our care, however we encourage all pets to be personally insured, by their owner for any unforeseen illnesses that could happen at any time.   Please notify us on arrival of any ongoing treatments or known medical conditions affecting your cat.

Please note that we reserve the right to refuse admission to any guest showing signs of ill health. This is for the safety and well being of all our other boarding guests and the right choice for your pet.

Cattery charges for 2019


Prices are inclusive of ~VAT, food, bedding, heating and insurance, there are no hidden costs. Charges commence on the day of arrival, nicola catirrespective of the time your pet arrives.  However, If you are able to collect between 9 am and 10 am on the day of departure, then you will not be charged for that final day.

Please note drop off is after 10am, only collections are permissible 9-10am each day.

We accept pets for varying lengths of stay but we do have to make a small surcharge of £5.00 surcharge for a single cat leaving between 9-10 am  on a one night stay.

The current rate is £9.50 per cat per day, however the minimum charge is £14.50.
We recognise that pets that live together like to stay together and we offer a discount on family pets staying together.
 The following discounts rates apply:
  • 10% for 2 cats sharing a chalet
  • 15% for 3 or more cats sharing a chalet


Collection and delivery are charged at a rate of £1.75 per mile, with a minimum charge of £7.00.

Booking information

We are licenced for up to 27 cats, but we advise you to book well in advance as we often run at full capacity during the traditional holiday periods and school holidays. Please contact us via our website form or call us on 01536 203292.

If you would like to submit your boarding request to us online, please use either our booking form for new customers if you haven’t booked with us before or our booking form for previous clients.

We offer a 10% discount on boarding fees when you hire our motorhome.
